Abstract
This paper describes a project designed to enhance K-8 teacher professional development in science instruction by utilizing the communication and data exchange capabilities of the Internet. The goals of this project were primarily met by developing and delivering a graduate summer course for Idaho K-8 teachers. The content of the course was physical science. New, Internet based science/chemistry activities were developed as a part of this course and are discussed in this paper. As a result of this project, we have noted an increase in science instruction in the participants' classrooms.

Chemistry Teacher Connection

The "Chemistry Teacher Connection" (CTC) is especially for high school chemistry teachers. For only $40/year, it offers an online-only subscription to CLIC along with membership in the Division of Chemical Education, normally $65/year. CTC subscribers receive access to all articles and supplements from 1996 through the current issue.

C&EN CLICs

Through special arrangement with the ACS, JCE High School CLIC is now able to provide subscribers with online access to Chemical & Engineering News articles that have been selected specifically for secondary science instructors and their students.

JCE Collections Available
Occasionally, collections of JCE back issues become available for donation to individual teachers, schools, or libraries. JCE matches collections with interested recipients. Recipients pay shipping costs or pick up the collection.
