ChemPages Laboratory

ChemPages Laboratory covers more than 30 laboratory techniques and items of equipment. It teaches introductory chemistry students what they need to know--before they come into the lab.

Web-Ready
ChemPages Laboratory is a part of JCE Web Software. To celebrate its 20th year of publishing software, JCE Software is making available its entire collection of Web-ready titles on a subscription basis. Both institutions and individuals can subscribe to JCE Web Software for the same fee as they pay for a Journal subscription.

How is ChemPages Laboratory used?

1. Students go to an assigned module and work through it. (See the abstract for a list of modules.)
2. There are many still images so that students can become familiar with laboratory apparatus and procedures.
3. There is video to show each procedure with audio narration to explain the manipulation. Students can repeat a video as often as needed.
4. Important points are check by a Self Test in which the student is presented with a question and clicks to obtain the answer.
