In the article “Henry’s Law: A Retrospective”, by Robert M. Rosenberg and Warner L. Peticolas, (J. Chem. Educ. 2004, 81, 1647–1652), we regret several typographical errors and omission of a necessary argument.
- On p 1649, above eq 9, the quantity ƒ should be Δ ƒ.
- In the last paragraph in left column on p 1650, the extrapolation should be to X2 = 0 both times.
- In the last paragraph in the right column on p. 1650, the extrapolation of the line is to X2 = 1.
- In the second line of eq 18 on p. 1652, the first quantity on the right should be n1 H Em1.
- After eq 18, the following line should be inserted:
and H°m1 = H•m1 for a solvent that follows Raoult’s law,
