The Periodic Table: Contest and Exhibition describes a contest and exhibition with the periodic table as the subject. Forty works were submitted to the contest, involving 180 participants, and were prepared using techniques from diverse areas, such as painting, sculpture, music, literature, photography, cookery, video, and new technologies. The scientific character of the periodic table was combined with a more embracing vision in the field of art. Contests and exhibitions are an effective way of reaching the general public with chemistry.

Our Secondary School editors work hard to distill all the JCE materials to produce a fraction of particular interest to high school teachers. We call it CLIC.
In recent years we have worked hard to better match our advertisers with our readers. When shopping for chemistry education materials, visit our advertisers' WWW sites first.
Take JCE along on your outreach missions. Copies of the Journal, guest access to JCE Online, our publications catalog, and more are available for your participants.
