The ACS Presidential Symposium "Envisioning Undergraduate Chemistry Education in 2015" was held to address changes that are occurring in the chemistry profession and in education. The symposium also served to inform the ACS Committee on Professional Training on its project to revise the ACS Guidelines for approval to undergraduate chemistry programs. Speakers Marye Anne Fox, Isiah M. Warner, and Eileen L. Lewis described approaches in chemistry education that are known to be effective but are not yet widely implemented. Speakers Gabriela C. Weaver, G. Sitta Sittampalam, and Arthur B. Ellis highlighted innovative ways in which chemistry education is changing. A novel format of the symposium was the inclusion of sessions for small group discussion and reporting out by the audience.

Our Secondary School editors work hard to distill all the JCE materials to produce a fraction of particular interest to high school teachers. We call it CLIC.
In recent years we have worked hard to better match our advertisers with our readers. When shopping for chemistry education materials, visit our advertisers' WWW sites first.
Take JCE along on your outreach missions. Copies of the Journal, guest access to JCE Online, our publications catalog, and more are available for your participants.
