Abstract
How can students better come to see that the study of chemistry can make a difference in their lives, in their communities, and in their world? Just as the field of sociology offers its students the opportunity to study the problems that societies face, our profession might benefit by offering our students opportunities to study the real-world problems that involve chemicals and chemists.
