Finding JCE Video on Chemistry Comes Alive!
Each Chemistry Comes Alive! CD-ROM provides the following methods for finding video clips and pictures.

In addition, Volume 5 provides for keyword searching.

The Chemistry Comes Alive! home page at JCE Online consolidates the above methods for all five volumes of CCA! If you do not know which CD-ROM may contain a particular video clip or image, this is the place to start (see link to CCA home page in right-hand column)
 
Table of Contents
Each Chemistry Comes Alive! CD-ROM focuses on a set of chemistry topics or chapters. As you might expect, each chapter also contains various subtopics and so forth. Subtopics may contain one or more video clips. The table of contents of each volume lists the chapters/topics, subtopics, and videos on that volume. Use it as you would a textbook table of contents.
 
Keyword Index
All CCA! videos have been assigned keywords. Each volume provides an index of these keywords with a list of the videos that have been assigned the keyword. Use the keyword index as you would a textbook index.
 
Textbook Cross-Reference
The authors of CCA! have assigned keywords to the chapters of many popular high-school and general chemistry textbooks. These keywords have been cross-referenced with the keywords assigned to the videos to provide a listing of video clips that are appropriate to use within a chapter of a particular textbook.
 
Keyword Searching (Volume 5 and online only)
A JavaScript searching function provides an interactive means of finding video clips that match a set of user-supplied keywords. Successful searches result in a window containing links to the video clips that meet the search criteria.

All the above methods of finding chemical imagery using CCA! on CD-ROM are limited to a single CD-ROM volume. At JCE Online the CCA! home page consolidates these resources over the entire published set of five CD-ROM volumes.

The CCA! area of JCE Online contains only sample video clips. (Sorry, we can not afford to make all the CCA! video freely available on the WWW.) However, everything else is available online. In place of the actual video, CCA! online refers you to the CCA! volume that contains the video.
