| This collection of chemical imagery currently contains over 800 video clips and 1000s of pictures spanning five CD-ROMs. In CCA! the emphasis is on the chemistry. The video and pictures are mostly close-up. There are no talking heads although most video clips do have voiceovers. Chemistry Comes Alive! uses the latest QuickTime digital video technology to deliver very high quality video at data rates low enough for intranet (computer lab or campus network) distribution.
Each Chemistry Comes Alive! CD-ROM is presented as a WWW site. CCA! is developed using HTML and uses the ubiquitous Internet browser to display its content. This provides a familiar, cross-platform framework for navigation and presentation.
