JCE Chemical Education Exchange is the new name for JCE Online, the former web site of the Journal of Chemical Education.
In 2010, the Division of Chemical Education, Inc. partnered with ACS Publications to co-publish the Journal of Chemical Education. As part of this co-publication agreement, the Journal of Chemical Education was transferred to the ACS Publications web site. However, not all JCE published content was subject to the co-publication agreement. To provide continued stewardship of such materials and at the same time not confuse our patrons, we have established a new web site with a new name, JCE Chemical Education Exchange.
A major emphasis of JCE Chemical Education Exchange will be to better serve our precollege and two-year college audiences for whom JCE and the Journal may not be a central resource to their teaching and learning of chemistry and the chemical sciences. For such teachers and students the rigor of the contribution process for the Journal presents a bar too high with little professional reward for those who attempt to surmount it. We strive to deliver content that is more accessible to this audience while at the same time adheres to our principles of peer review and assessment of contributions.
JCE Chemical Education Exchange is built upon a modern, interactive web platform. The process of migrating content from JCE Online, the former site, into this new platform is ongoing. We appreciate your patience as we proceed with the migration. As materials are migrated to the new site, we are making every effort to ensure you are redirect to the new content while maintaining the viability of the links to the legacy content.
